A Complete and Person-Centered Approach

Our approach is based on person-centered thinking and doing. We created Level Up Pre-ETS to help support school staff, families, and individuals at all levels.

That starts with setting up innovative systems to improve the quality and availability of services, including for underserved populations.

Here you can see some of the key steps in that process. We take a complete approach to training and supporting Pre-ETS providers. Courses and resources reflect the real needs of people involved with Pre-ETS, and are shared freely with all Pre-ETS providers.

Our goal is to ensure Pre-ETS in Indiana will always be ready to support everyone involved with the program, from students to providers.

Finding Out Your Needs

The project starts with a needs assessment. This involves statewide surveys, focus groups, and interviews. We want to hear directly from our stakeholders about how Pre-ETS serves them, and how it could help them even more.

Supporting and Training Pre-ETS Providers

Using information from the needs assessment, we’ll create training materials and courses for Pre-ETS providers. Training includes a basic course for new providers, advice for serving students of all abilities, and a coaching network.

Sharing with Our Partners

Finally, we’ll share all the materials we develop with our program partners across the entire state. They’ll get access to everything we create, from best practices, to videos, and a graphic novel to help with outreach.

Our First Step: Listening to You

Level-Up Pre-ETS starts with your feedback. The program is based on what the people involved in Pre-ETS really need.

We speak with parents, students, educators, employers, about the strengths and weaknesses of Pre-ETS from their unique perspective. Then, we design our program based on what they want to see.
